Historic and Abandoned

Two words today: Historic and Abandoned. Took a walk downtown Ottawa and discovered the abandoned former Willson Carbide Mill on Victoria Island between Ontario and Quebec. It is a Historic designated site. The building has been shored up in places and surrounded by a safety fence. I felt that the black and white photos told a better story than the colour shots.

Couple

Saw this couple in Spencerville, south of Ottawa.

Insanity

Back in May a whole bunch of people got up one Sunday morning, donned some running shoes and decided to spend the next 3 to 6 hours running 42.2kms. Now that to me is the definition of insanity!

So while I'm at it....Congratulations to my sister Josanne for being insane!

Bear...or should I say bears?!

I got a bit behind in posting photos..so sue me!!
Today's word dates back to June and is thanks to Lauren Jutlah!.

Supreme Court Mascot

Who knew that the Supreme Court even had a mascot!

Charline and a wise ol' Owl on Canada Day!

Elizabeth II, RCMP officers and the Maple Leaf!

Spent the day on Parliament Hill watching people, taking photos, waiting for HRH Elizabeth II to arrive, and generally admiring the many many cute RCMP officers!! None of them offered to frisk or handcuff me...just my luck!
